Toews logged an assist, two shots on goal and two hits in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Lightning in Game 5. Toews set up a Cale Makar goal in the third period, but that was the last goal the Avalanche scored in the game. Through five Stanley Cup Finals outings, Toews has been limited to two assists, so the Lightning have found a way to keep him at least partially in check. The 28-year-old has 15 points, 43 shots on net, 29 hits, 24 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating in 19 playoff contests as he continues to play huge minutes on the top pairing.

The Lightning bounced back in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final, cruising to a 6-2 win over the Avalanche to grab their first win of the series. But a big storyline at the end of the game was the status of Lightning star forward Nikita Kucherov, who left Monday night's contest after taking a cross-check to the lower body from Avalanche defenseman Devon Toews.

Toews notched an assist in Saturday's 7-0 win over the Lightning in Game 2. Toews helped out on an Andre Burakovsky goal in the first period. With points in seven of his last nine outings, Toews continues to provide a steady blend of offense and defense on the Avalanche's top pairing. The 28-year-old is up to 14 points (five goals, nine helpers), 35 shots on net, 22 hits, 22 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating through 16 playoff contests.
