Derek Carr

Derek Dallas Carr is an American football player, who plays for the ‘Oakland Raiders’ of the ‘National Football League (NFL).’ Presently he is one of the highest paid quarterbacks in the NFL history. Born and raised in California, US, he followed in the footsteps of his older brother, David Carr, also an NFL quarterback. Carr played high school football in Texas and Bakersfield, California, and then joined the ‘Fresno State University.’ While at the ‘Fresno State,’ he was twice named as the ‘Mountain West Conference Player of the Year’ and also featured in ‘All-America Selection’ two times. He established a number of school records and also set several national records. He was selected by the ‘Oakland Raiders’ in the second round at the ‘2014 NFL Draft.’ He is one among 19 quarterbacks in the FBS history to throw over 10,000 yards and 100 touchdowns. His touchdown-to-interception ratio (113-to-24) is second highest in the FBS history. For three successive years he was chosen for Pro-Bowl. Carr is married to Heather Neel and the couple has two sons.
