When the weather was nice, he enjoyed getting out of town to enjoy some of the local camping spots. In 2011, Dennis began attending a local church. Eventually he became convinced that he needed Jesus and chose to get baptized and become a Christian. He was a faithful attender of Malin Baptist Church. During the last few years of his life Dennis dedicated much of his time to tearing down old buildings. He enjoyed the challenge of demolition, the people he met during the process, and the chance to sell some of the salvage lumber and other items. Dennis never married and had no children. He was preceded in death by his father Milano, mother Irene, and brother Timothy. He is survived by his sisters Nancy and Rose, and brothers Milano Jr. and Thomas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
