Dean Wade Ruled out for Remainder of Season with Knee Injury

The Cleveland Cavaliers have ruled out power forward Dean Wade for the rest of the season after having surgery to repair an injury in his right knee. His surgery was successful and the meniscus in his right knee should heal. Injury problems have hampered the Cleveland Cavaliers season and a fast start has since cooled down considerably. Wade is a rotation player for the Cavaliers and his production on both sides of the ball will be missed on the team.

Dean Wade handed brutal injury update amid Jarrett Allen absence

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been one of the more pleasant surprises in the NBA this season. The Cavs currently sit at 41-33, good for seventh place in the Eastern Conference as they look towards postseason basketball with the season winding down. However, Cleveland’s roster is tending to some injuries, with the likes of Jarrett Allen and Dean Wade both shelved with ailments. Allen, who fractured his left finger, has had some optimism swirling around a potential return, as has Wade, who tore his meniscus in his right knee. On Monday, the Cavs provided a brutal injury update on Wade, as reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Cleveland Cavaliers picked up the contracts of Dean Wade & Lamar Stevens. The Cleveland Cavaliers have made the decision to pick up and guarantee the contracts for Dean Wade and Lamar Stevens for the rest of the 2021-2022 NBA season. While there wasn’t a lot of doubt about whether or not the duo would be released to make room for other potential free agents, the fact that the Cavaliers picked up their deals is a sign that both Wade and Stevens have shown up and shown out this year.

Earlier starts for Cavs should help Dean Wade in this stretch

I’ve grown to be a big fan of Cleveland Cavaliers rotational forward Dean Wade, similarly to KJG’s John Suchan, who is a staunch supporter of him, and echoed that sentiment in a recent interview. Wade is not always a player that’s going to be a mainstay in lineups...

The Cleveland Cavaliers have won six of their past eight games, and with the club healthier again, they’re finding their groove. Dean Wade, the kid from Kansas, helping Cavs reach new level of success

St. John, Kansas is about a thousand miles from Cleveland. It is, as you might imagine, a very small town, with a population just over 1,300 people, located pretty match smack dab in the middle of Kansas. Basketball means everything to many Kansas communities across the high plains, so when a local small-town kid makes it to the NBA it means a lot.
