David Leitch Says Lady Gaga’s Replacement In ‘Bullet Train’ “Will Be Left A Mystery” For Now

Director David Leitch recently confirmed that Lady Gaga was intended to star in his upcoming movie, “Bullet Train.” Leitch, known for movies such as “Deadpool 2” (2018) and “John Wick” (2014), told Entertainment Weekly that the talks fell apart after Gaga was given the role of Patrizia Reggiani in the Oscar-nominated movie “House of Gucci” (2021) from director Ridley Scott.

Bullet Train Director David Leitch Wanted Lady Gaga To Play One Of His Assassins

One of these days, I'd like to see directors literally fighting over actors. If two directors (of the same weight class, natch) are competing against each other for the services of the exact same star, then I say put them in a boxing ring and let them duke it out to see who emerges the victor. After all, this is the entertainment business, folks. Entertain us!

Kicking Butt At Bullet Train Director David Leitch's New Hollywood Stunt Training Facility

Last night I got a chance to attend the launch of David Leitch and his producing partner Kelly McCormick's ("John Wick," "Deadpool 2," "Atomic Blonde") new Hollywood stunt training/production facility, 87North. Though Leitch is a director and producer now, he started off as a stunt guy, doubling for people like Brad Pitt and Jean-Claude Van Damme. The new facility is in a converted church, and is set up for some pretty wild workouts. They put on an intense stunt show for the launch, which you can see below. They even showed off their 360 camera set up, which I had to try out. After my experience working out with Alexander Skarsgård's "The Northman" trainer, Magnus Lygdbäck, I figured I could hack it. Shame I couldn't stop grinning the entire time.

Will Smith Projects Put On Hold: ‘Bad Boys 4’ & Netflix’s ‘Fast and Loose’ Which David Leitch Has Left

With such a great controversy as the Oscar slap, consequences and reprisals are sure to come in the aftermath. While Will Smith has side-stepped some punishments from the Academy by quitting the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences—though an inquiry will still go forward regardless, and there could still be further penalties applied—others in Hollywood are still considering their options. The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) is said to be considering punitive measures, and in the first sign, the smack will hurt Smith’s career —as many expected and predicted—some of his projects are falling apart.

Nobody Producer David Leitch Teases Sequel

Last year, Better Call Saul actor Bob Odenkirk starred in the action-packed Nobody as a simple family man who is revealed to be a whole lot more after his daughter's favorite kitty cat bracelet goes missing. The movie was helmed by Ilya Naishuller (Hardcore Henry), written by Derek Kolstad (John Wick), and produced by some big names, including Deadpool 2 and Atomic Blonde director, David Leitch. Recently, Odenkirk teased that he thinks a sequel will happen, and a new post from Leitch and 87North Productions practically confirms Nobody 2 is in the works.
