Nets' David Duke: Back to NBA

Duke was transferred from the G League's Long Island Nets to Brooklyn on Wednesday, Alec Sturm of NetsDaily.com reports. Long Island was eliminated from the G League playoffs following a 133-116 loss to the Delaware Blue Coats on Tuesday. Duke hasn't seen NBA action since Feb. 28, and with the Nets fighting feverishly for playoff positioning, it's unlikely the undrafted rookie out of Providence cracks the rotation during the final three games of the regular season.

Nets' David Duke: Back in G League

Duke won't be available Sunday in the Nets' game against the Celtics after he was recently assigned to the G League's Long Island Nets. Duke's last appearance was a 19-minute outing Monday versus Toronto, but he likely wouldn't have seen the court if the game hadn't been a 36-point blowout loss. Since he's not a part of head coach Steve Nash's regular rotation, Duke will get some extended run while he's in the G League.

Duke had 13 points (5-13 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four steals, three rebounds and two assists across 28 minutes during Tuesday's 126-91 loss to the Celtics. Coach Steve Nash emptied the bench early in this one, and Duke racked up a career-high steal total in the process. He hadn't played for the Nets in any of the past eight games, so don't expect much from Duke moving forward, as he'll likely continue seeing action in the G League once Brooklyn regains some health.
