OKLAHOMA CITY, April 8, 2021 – The Oklahoma City Thunder has waived forward Darius Miller, it was announced today by Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti. Miller appeared in 18 games with the Thunder this season and registered averages of 4.1 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 10.9 minutes per game.

Miller was waived by the Thunder on Thursday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Miller appeared in 18 games for the Thunder this season, averaging 4.1 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists across 10.9 minutes per game. The 31-year-old has recently been hampered by a groin injury, which has kept him sidelined for the last two games.

Miller (groin) is out Thursday against the Cavaliers. Miller will miss a second straight game due to a left groin strain. He's one of seven players out for the Thunder on Thursday.

Miller did not play during Monday's win over Minnesota. The forward was absent for a third straight matchup as he continues to remain on the fringes of the regular rotation. Miller has totaled 14 points and six assists over his past two appearances (March 14 and March 16).

Miller is not on the injury report ahead of Wednesday's game at Dallas. Miller missed Sunday's game against Denver due to an illness, but he should be back to availability Wednesday night. The veteran wing was a DNP-CD in the five previous games, however, so it's unlikely that he'll make much of an impact.

Miller is out for Saturday's game against the Nuggets due to a stomach illness. Miller's role has been minimal this season. His absence won't affect the team's rotation.
