Knife Held to Woman's Throat During Attempted Robbery in Downtown Annapolis

Authorities are searching for the suspect involved in the attempted armed robbery of a woman in Downtown Annapolis. On June 3, 2021, a female victim reported that a person she knew attempted to rob her. The victim was inside of her vehicle in the 100 block of Main Street when the the suspect unlawfully entered the her vehicle and demanded money as he held a knife to her throat. The victim did not comply with the suspects demands at which point he exited the vehicle and ran away.

Police Seize Loaded Gun From Teen in Brooklyn Park

Anne Arundel County Police seized a loaded gun from an 18-year old suspect in Brooklyn Park. On June 8, 2021 at approximately 3:50 p.m., officers responded to the area of West Meadow Road and Belle Grove Road in Brooklyn Park for a report of a subject waving a handgun in the air. When officers arrived, a witness identified the male with the handgun. The suspect began to flee as officers exited their vehicles, however was quickly apprehended after a foot pursuit.

Maryland State Police Arrest Gambrils Man For Sexual Solicitation Of A Minor

Maryland State Police arrested a man Monday on charges he solicited sex from an undercover trooper who was posing as a child over the Internet in Anne Arundel County. Catalino Lopez Cordova, 42, of Gambrills, Maryland, is charged with one count of sexual solicitation of a minor. He was transported to the Anne Arundel County Detention Center where he is being held without bond.

A link between Covid-19 vaccination and a cardiac illness may be getting clearer

(CNN) — Vaccine advisers to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say there has been a higher-than-expected number of cases of a heart ailment among young people, most often males, who've recently received their second doses of the Pfizer and Moderna Covid-19 vaccines. The CDC says the reports of the ailment are "rare" and that "most patients who received care responded well to medicine and rest and quickly felt better."

Anne Arundel County Police officers arrested a wanted shoplifting suspect after he led police on a highway chase which ended in a vehicle crash in Crofton. On May 26, 2021 at 7:12 p.m., officers responded to the Kohls located at 418 George Clauss Boulevard in Severn in reference to a shoplifting. Loss Prevention officers recognized a person shoplifting in the store as a suspect that was wanted for a prior armed robbery.
