Fabbro posted an assist, three blocked shots, two hits, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Coyotes. Fabbro picked up five points in the last eight games of the season. Predators' Dante Fabbro: Returning Tuesday

Fabbro (upper body) is set to return to the lineup Tuesday versus the Wild, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports. Fabbro missed five games with the injury. He'll return in a top-pairing role alongside Roman Josi for this contest. With Mark Borowiecki (undisclosed) also returning, Matt Benning and Jeremy Davies will exit the lineup and should only see part-time roles going forward.

Predators' Dante Fabbro: Hands out another assist

Fabbro logged an assist and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Stars. Fabbro fed Roman Josi for the game-winning goal with 1:22 left in the third period. The 23-year-old Fabbro has looked good lately with six assists in his last eight games. The blueliner is up to 17 points, 63 shots on net, 62 blocked shots, 22 PIM and a plus-16 rating in 46 contests overall. As long as he's seeing first-pairing minutes alongside Josi, Fabbro should have some appeal in deeper fantasy formats.

Predators' Dante Fabbro: Placed in COVID-19 protocols

Fabbro was designated to the Predators' COVID-19 list Saturday, per Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site. Fabbro will need to submit two negative tests to regain playing eligibility and as a result, he will miss Saturday's contest against the Blackhawks. Through the month of December, the Canadian logged one goal and four assists over nine appearances. The game prior to entering protocols, the 23-year-old snapped a five-game point drought by logging two assists against Washington.

Predators' Dante Fabbro: Two assists in Wednesday's loss

Fabbro dished out a pair of helpers in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to Washington. Fabbro stepped up with Roman Josi in COVID-19 protocols. Both of his points came during Nashville's three-goal outburst over a 6:15 span in the second period, but the Predators failed to muster any offense outside of that stretch. Fabbro has only marked the scoresheet twice in his last 23 games, but he has five points in those two games.

Predators' Dante Fabbro: Busts out with three points

Fabbro scored an empty-net goal and added two assists in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Red Wings. The young blueliner smashed out of a slump that had seen him fail to find the scoresheet in 16 straight games coming into Tuesday, with his last point coming back on Oct. 30. Fabbro has plenty of talent -- he was a first-round pick in 2016 -- and a spot alongside Roman Josi on the Predators' top pairing, which makes his one goal and seven points through 25 contests all the more disappointing.

Predators' Dante Fabbro: Playing lots, scoring little

Fabbro skated a season-high 25:48 and fired four shots on goal in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Coyotes, but failed to crack the scoresheet for the seventh straight game. Fabbro continues to see a ton of ice time skating on the Preds' top pairing, but is clearly leaving the majority of offensive opportunities to his linemate Roman Josi (who scored two goals and added a pair of helpers against the Coyotes). Fabbro's fantasy value remains limited to very deep leagues at the present time.

When Do We Start to Worry About Dante Fabbro?

The Nashville Predators’ 2016 17th-overall selection Dante Fabbro hasn’t lived up to the expectations set for him when he entered the NHL. His analytical numbers have been in the dumps even after a good start in the Covid-shortened 2020-21 season. Additionally, the play on the ice hardly looks improved for someone who has showcased a ton of skill in other leagues. So when do we start to worry about him, and what could happen if there is not much more improvement?
