When did we as a society decide that Cooper Manning was a thing now? Because it seems that the eldest Manning brother is a thing now. It was announced this morning that ESPN was expanding its relationship with Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions to include some new podcasts. One of those involves Cooper Manning. If I were going to pitch it to you in an elevator I would describe it as the Uber of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee of soup. Via Front Office Sports:

Apparently top 2023 quarterback Arch Manning hasn’t narrowed his college destinations down to the Texas Longhorns and the Alabama Crimson Tide after all, 247Sports reports. From 247Sports: “In fact, because of regime changes at a few SEC schools, you can add two more programs to the mix for the five-star quarterback: Florida and nearby LSU. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Manning still has a keen eye on Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss and Texas, schools he visited during the summer and returned for games during the fall. It’s a good bet that those four plus the twosome of LSU and Florida will get Manning on campus in the spring or summer.”

Cooper Manning Denies Report of Son Arch Being Down to Two Schools

A report from Monday indicated that Arch Manning may be down to two schools, but according to his father Cooper, that report has now been denied. Since last summer, Manning has taken multiple visits but has only visited five schools on more than one occasion, with Texas being one of those programs.

Well, here comes the most intriguing visit of the summertime for the Ole Miss Rebels. Five-star quarterback Arch Manning will be on the Ole Miss campus on July 26. "He is going to go to Ole Miss," said Cooper Manning, once a promising young Ole Miss wide receiver whose football career ended due to spinal stenosis, during the Manning Passing Academy at Nicholls State. "We're going to be up in Mississippi and we're going to pop over there. We haven't gotten to know (second-year head coach Lane Kiffin) or (offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach) Jeff Lebby and just go there as a recruit. It's one thing to go there as a teenager and run around and just be a guy. But to see it and hear the pitch."

College football’s most prominent has been busy visiting taking recruiting visits, including SMU, Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, Texas and Southern Cal, before playing his junior season of high school football. Last week it was reported that Manning will be visiting Ole Miss late this month.
