Kraken's Connor Carrick: Lands on waivers

Carrick was waived by the Kraken on Saturday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports. The Kraken decided to trim down the number of defensemen in training camp, and Carrick didn't make the cut. The 27-year-old has played for four NHL teams since the 2013-14 campaign began, though he's never exceeded 12 points in a campaign. He'll likely end up with AHL Charlotte if he doesn't get scooped up on waivers.
