Condola Rashad

Condola Rashad is an American actress who has given several excellent performances on stage as well as on screen. She is best known for her work in theatres. Having a mother who is a singer, actress, and director, Rashad had acting running in her veins. She made debut on stage with the ‘Off-Broadway’ play, ‘Ruined.’ For her excellent performance in the play, Rashad won the ‘Theatre World Award,’ for the ‘Best Debut Performance.’ Rashad was nominated for the ‘Tony Award for the Best Featured Actress in a Play,’ for her performance in plays such as ‘Stick Fly,’ ‘The Trip to Bountiful,’ and ‘A Doll’s House, Part 2.’ She was also nominated for the Tony Award for her performance in the play ‘Saint Joan.’ She made her debut on TV with a small role in the series, ‘The Good Wife.’ Later, she appeared in series such as ‘Smash,’ ‘Submissions Only,’ and ‘Master of None.’ She portrayed a major character, ‘Julie,’ in the movie, ‘30 Beats.’ In the TV movie, ‘Steel Magnolias,’ Condola Rashad performed alongside her mother.
