Black History Month All-Star: Clarissa Davis

Clarissa Davis was a two-time All-American forward and center for the University of Texas women’s basketball team from 1985-86 through 1988-89 seasons, where she averaged 19.9 points and 8.7 rebounds a game. She was voted Most Outstanding Player as a freshman for the 1986 Final Four, which won the National Title, defeating Cheryl Miller and the USC Trojans. The Lady Longhorns were perfect with a 34-0 regular-season record. She was part of the 1992 Barcelona Olympic team, which won bronze, where she averaged 13 points and a steal a game.
