When it comes to landing a wide variety of top-notch guest stars, The Conners and its sitcom predecessor have been known for pulling off home runs over the years. (Who else is eagerly awaiting the return of Joe Walsh as Aldo’s drippy dad in Episode 419?) I think anyone with a pulse would agree that TV and film legend Christopher Lloyd is an A+ addition in any given situation, and he made a welcome return to the franchise in “The Best Laid Plans, A Contrabassoon and A Sinking Feeling” to provide some musical guidance for Ames McNamara’s Mark. Living acting legend and borderline national treasure Christopher Lloyd has really been racking up the even more impressive additions to his resume as of late. Last month we learned that everyone's favorite time-traveler would be joining the season 3 cast of "The Mandalorian," and today we've learned that Lloyd will be reprising one of his fan-favorite TV characters, with "Lou" set to return for the upcoming episode of "The Conners." Lloyd first debuted the character four years ago during the revival of "Roseanne," which was canceled and transformed into "The Conners" spin-off series following titular star Roseanne Barr's racist ramblings on Twitter.

Christopher Lloyd to Reprise Lou Role on The Conners

Christopher Lloyd is an iconic actor known best for playing Doc Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy, but his filmography is quite vast, with 240 acting credits to his name. The star has appeared on many television shows throughout his career ranging from Cheers to Psych, and he appeared on the revived Roseanne before it became The Conners back in 2018. In the episode, Lloyd played Lou, Beverly's (Estelle Parsons) new boyfriend. In the upcoming episode, Lou is now Mark's (Ames McNamara) "combative contrabassoon teacher." According to Deadline, Lloyd will be making his return to the spin-off series on May 4th.
