Chris Sabin To Face Moose At IMPACT Slammiversary 2021

After losing to Kenny Omega at IMPACT Against All Odds, Moose visited Scott D'Amore with the hopes of getting himself another Championship opportunity. At the event, he was attacked by The Young Bucks while the referee was knocked out. D'Amore said that everything would be sorted out, but that he didn't have time to deal with Moose at that moment.

5/15 Impact Wrestling Under Siege results: Chris Sabin vs. Chris Bey vs. Sami Callihan vs. Matt Cardona vs. Trey Miguel vs. Moose in a six-way to become No. 1 contender to the Impact World Championship, Kenny Omega, Doc Gallows, and Karl Anderson vs. Eddie Edwards, Juice Robinson, and David Finlay

1. Brian Myers beat Black Taurus. 2. Taylor Wilde and Tenille Dashwood beat Kimber Lee and Susan. 3. Ace Austin & Madman Fulton defeated TJP & Petey Williams, Larry D & Acey Romero, and Rohit Raju & Mahabali Shera to become No. 1 contenders to the Impact Tag Titles. 4....

Powell’s Impact Wrestling Hit List: Moose vs. Jame Storm, Rhino vs. Chris Sabin, and Trey Miguel vs. Rohit Raju in qualifiers for the six-way number one contender match, Su Yung vs. Taylor Wilde, Kiera Hogan vs. Rachel Ellering, Doc Gallows vs. Juice Robinson, El Phantasmo vs. VSK

Moose vs. James Storm in a six-way match qualifier: A top notch main event with good storytelling from the veterans with Moose targeting the leg of Storm throughout the match. Storm came off like he put up a hell of a fight in defeat, while Moose seemed calculated and dangerous. This version of Moose is a big improvement over the guy who randomly opted to pay tribute to legends with his ring gear at the strangest times. He is in great shape and it will be interesting to see what his next move is once his Impact deal expires next month.

4/8 Impact Wrestling TV Results: Powell’s review of Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers vs. Rich Swann, Willie Mack, and Eddie Edwards, Sami Callihan and a partner vs. Team XXXL, Alisha Edwards, Nevaeh, and Tenille Dashwood vs. Havok, Jordynne Grace, and Rosemary, Deaner vs. Chris Sabin

[Hour One] A recap of last week’s show aired… Kenny Omega, Don Callis, Doc Gallows, and Karl Anderson were shown walking backstage… The broadcast team of Matt Striker and D-Lo Brown checked in during the opening match introductions and hyped the Hardcore Justice show for this weekend on Impact Plus…

Powell’s Impact Wrestling Hit List: Ace Austin vs. Chris Bey, James Storm and Chris Sabin vs. Rohit Raju and Mahabali Shera, Good Brothers vs. David Finlay and Juice Robinson contract signing, ODB vs. Susan, Tasha Steelz vs. Jazz, the final push for Sacrifice

Ace Austin vs. Chris Bey: The highlight of the night. It was a good back and forth match between two of the company’s brightest young stars. Austin continues to strike me as the guy that Impact should build around. I’d rather see him hold the world championship, but winning the X Division Title at Sacrifice would at least be a step in the right direction.

3/9 Impact Wrestling TV Results: Moore’s review of Ace Austin vs. Chris Bey, Rohit Raju and Mahabali Shera vs. Chris Sabin and James Storm, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson vs. Juice Robinson and David Finlay contract singing, the final push for Sacrifice

Highlights from last week’s Impact Wrestling show aired followed by the Impact intro theme…. Matt Striker and D’Lo Brown were on commentary…. 1. Tasha Steelz (w/Kiera Hogan) vs. Jazz (w/Jordynne Grace). Tasha and Kiera started the match off by giving Jazz a condescending applause. Jazz then took down Tasha with a armdrag. Tasha retreated to ringside and stalled a bit with Kiera. Tasha entered the ring and took down Jazz with a side headlock. Jazz escaped and trapped Tasha’s head with a leg scissors. Tasha escaped the move with a handstand.

Powell’s Impact Wrestling Hit List: Rich Swann and Tommy Dreamer contract signing, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson vs. James Storm and Chris Sabin for the Impact Tag Titles, Trey Miguel, Willie Mack, Josh Alexander, and Suicide vs. Ace Austin, Chris Bey, Shawn Daivari, and Blake Christian

“The Good Brothers” Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson vs. James Storm and Chris Sabin for the Impact Tag Titles: It was fun while it lasted. The DQ finish was underwhelming in the moment, but it was a logical way to add Storm and Sabin to the tag title match at No Surrender.

Powell’s Impact Wrestling Hit List: AEW Champion Kenny Omega and Don Callis latest appearance, Karl Anderson vs. Chris Sabin, Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz vs. Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary in a Knockouts Tag Title tournament semifinal match, Manik vs. Chris Bey

Karl Anderson vs. Chris Sabin: A strong main event match. The finish with Anderson holding the tights while Kenny Omega and Don Callis were shown applauding was nicely done. The show closing angle that set up the six-man tag main event between Omega, Anderson, and Doc Gallows vs. Rich Swann and the Motor City Machine Guns at Genesis was brief and effective. That match looks really fun on paper and one has to assume that it will be one of Impact’s most purchased events in years.
