Chris Noth is an American actor, most recognized for his roles on the popular TV shows, 'Law & Order' and 'Sex and the City.' In the 'Law & Order' franchise, he played NYPD Detective Mike Logan, whereas he appeared as Mr. Big, the object of protagonist Carrie Bradshaw’s affection, on ‘Sex and the City’. The two-time nominee of 'Golden Globe' awards and four-time nominee of ‘Screen Actors Guild’ awards nurtured his craft under the tutelage of Sanford Meisner, the man who developed the 'Meisner' technique of acting. Chris forayed into the realm of entertainment with an uncredited role in the thriller movie 'Cutter's Way'. He continued playing small and supporting roles in films and TV shows for several years until he was cast in the police procedural show 'Law & Order’ in 1990. There was no looking back for him after that, and he went on to work in several prestigious films and TV series that earned him numerous accolades throughout his acting career. Apart from films and television shows, Chris is also known for his performances in several notable Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, including musicals. The actor has numerous entrepreneurial ventures to his name, and he currently co-owns a music venue in New York City.
