Christopher Howard Long (born March 28, 1985) is a former American football defensive end who played in the National Football League for 11 seasons, primarily with the St. Louis Rams. The son of Hall of Fame defensive end Howie Long and older brother of retired guard Kyle Long, he played college football at Virginia where he was recognized as a unanimous All-American. He was selected by the Rams as the second overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, whom he was a member of for eight seasons. Long later played one season for the New England Patriots and two seasons for the Philadelphia Eagles, winning a Super Bowl title with each. Along with Ken Norton Jr., Deion Sanders, Brandon Browner and Long's teammate LeGarrette Blount, Long is one of only five NFL players to win consecutive Super Bowls for different teams, having won Super Bowl LI with the Patriots and Super Bowl LII with the Eagles. He also received the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award in 2018 for his charitable work, which included donating his entire 2017 salary to charity.
Lions general manager Brad Holmes offered Chris Long as a comparison for Aidan Hutchinson, and Long himself has acknowledged the comparison. Leading into and after the draft, the pro comparisons for Detroit Lions No. 2 overall pick Aidan Hutchinson were mostly very favorable. With some inside knowledge from his days with the Rams, general manager Brad Holmes offered former NFL defensive end Chris Long as a comp during an appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show.”
Chris Long, brother of former Bears tackle Kyle Long accidentally chugged a can full of dip spit while filming his podcast on Friday. His face when he realized it was hilarious. Rookie mistake, rookie mistake...
Anyone who has ever played on a baseball team knows that there is nothing more important than clearly defining which cup is for drinking and which is for spitting. A mix-up in this department can be extremely devastating yet happens to the best of the best, no matter how much practice they have multitasking between stimulants. Most people who fall victim to taking a big ol' swig out of a makeshift spittoon have the privilege of not doing it on camera. Chris Long did not have the comfort of privacy when he grabbed the can of death last night and had to ride that thing straight to hell.

The recruiting pitches quickly came in, with ex-NFL standout and former Virginia star Chris Long taking a swing on the Green Light podcast Tuesday.
