The SIP Forum announced the recent election of Chris Drake, Chief Technology Officer at iconectiv; and Christopher Oatway, Associate General Counsel at Verizon, to the SIP Forum Board of Directors. Additionally, the Forum Full Membership re-elected Martin Dolly, Lead Member of the Technical Staff at AT&T; Phil Linse, Director of Public Policy at Lumen; Chris Wendt, Director of Technical R&D for Comcast IP Communications platform services; and Clark Whitten, Principal Engineer at Cox Communications, to new terms on the SIP Forum Board of Directors.

GSMA’s ISAG Group adds Drake to help oversee global telecom industry specifications that support interoperability and improve security. Telecommunications services like phone calls and text messaging are fundamental to everyday existence, and service providers are heavily dependent on the availability of affordable and interoperable technologies to meet customer expectation for reliability and keep them safe.
