The Rodney Dangerfield of politics, LaMarca gets no respect. But he should. Chip LaMarca has served his constituents first in his hometown of Lighthouse Point, then on the Broward County Commission and most recently, being re-elected by a landslide as a member of the Florida House of Representatives. That happens only when you show true leadership, the competence to get things done and, perhaps most importantly in this toxic political environment, the ability to work in a bipartisan matter, which is why it is that much more disappointing to see him be disrespected on a regular basis.
