Here's why Charlie Weis isn't worried about staff turnover slowing Mac Jones

Charlie Weis makes mistake of tweeting about politics

Football fans have had plenty to say about Charlie Weis for years. Friday, the former NFL and college football coach made things very easy for them. After an impressive stint as an offensive coordinator with the New York Jets and New England Patriots, Weis flamed out at Notre Dame, finishing 35-27 and being fired five seasons into a ten-year contract. He ended up getting paid almost $19 million as part of his buyout. After attempting to rehab his career with the Kansas City Chiefs and Florida Gators in assistant roles, he was hired to run the Kansas Jayhawks in 2012. That tenure was a disaster and Weis was fired after going 6-22 in three seasons. He was paid more than $5 million in additional buyouts from that contract. And there’s actually a lot more to it than that in terms of how much money Charlie made after he left jobs.
