Chris Sale’s run of bad luck with injuries has Red Sox chief baseball officer Chaim Bloom wondering if the team’s star pitcher is cursed. Sale, who missed the first 3 ½ months of the season only due to a stress fracture in his right rib cage, returned in mid-July, only only to leave his second start in the first inning after a line drive broke the pinky finger on his throwing hand. Sale was hopeful of pitching again this season and had resumed throwing before breaking his right wrist in a biking accident Saturday. He’s now out for the season.
