Carlos Tevez, also known as 'El Apache', is an Argentine professional footballer who currently plays as a forward for Boca Juniors and the Argentine national team. This is his third stint with the club, and he has previously represented the Brazilian Série A club Corinthians; the European Premier League clubs West Ham United, Manchester United and Manchester City; the Italian Serie A club Juventus; and the Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhu. A prolific goal-scorer with exceptional energy and skill, the only thing that vied for more attention than his on-field show is the series of controversies he has courted throughout his career. Most of the controversies surrounded his transfers from one club to another, third-party ownership of his rights, and his occasional unprofessional behaviours. Nevertheless, his numerous achievements include winning the 'Golden Boot' for Argentina at the 2004 Olympics; winning Copa Libertadores and Intercontinental Cup for Boca Juniors; avoiding relegation for West Ham United; winning two Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League for Manchester United; and helping Manchester City win the league title after 44 years.
