Carlos Correa
Carlos Javier Correa Oppenheimer (born September 22, 1994) is a Puerto Rican professional baseball shortstop for the Houston Astros of Major League Baseball (MLB). The Astros selected Correa with the first overall selection of the 2012 MLB draft. Correa made his MLB debut in 2015, and won the American League (AL) Rookie of the Year Award. In 2017, Correa appeared in the World Baseball Classic, won the AL Player of the Month Award for May, was named an MLB All-Star, and won the 2017 World Series with the Astros.

Twins SS Carlos Correa Playing Wednesday Against A's

The Minnesota Twins announced that they’d reinstated shortstop Carlos Correa from the ten-day injured list. Correa had been on the IL since May 10, retroactive to May 6, after he injured his finger being hit by a pitch. The Twins optioned Royce Lewis to Triple-A to make room for Correa. Lewis had 12 hits in 39 at-bats for five RBI, two home runs, and 12 runs. His first major league home run was also a grand slam.
