Carlik Jones: Big outing not enough in playoffs
Jones recorded 36 points (12-24 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 7-8 FT), five rebounds, 14 assists, four steals and two blocks over 45 minutes during Thursday's 120-102 loss to the Vipers. Texas may have had its season ended by Rio Grande in the playoffs, but the 24-year-old snapped in the defeat. This was a fitting end to the season for Jones, who averaged of 21.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game for Texas this year. The undrafted product will most likely next take the court in Summer League with the Mavericks organization.
