Brooke Adams

Brooke Adams is an American veteran actress, producer, director, and writer who garnered fame for portraying Abby in ‘Days of Heaven’, Elizabeth Driscoll in ‘Invasion of the Body Snatchers’, and Sarah Bracknell in ‘The Dead Zone’. She is also known for small screen roles like Senator Diane Vaynerchuk in ‘BrainDead’ and Elizabeth James Hires in ‘All Downhill from Here’. A native of New York, Adams hails from an affluent family. She is a descendant of US Presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams. While she was quite young, she developed a deep interest in dancing and later studied at the High School of Performing Arts and the School of American Ballet. Adams made her acting debut in an episode of the CBS drama series ‘East Side/West Side’ in 1963. She had her cinematic debut eight years later, portraying an uncredited role in the mystery horror ‘Murders in the Rue Morgue’. In her five-decade-long career, she has accumulated over 60 film and TV credits. In 1979, she was nominated for a Saturn Award for ‘Invasion of the Body Snatchers’. In 2009, she wrote, directed and produced the short film ‘Pet Peeves’. Adams was also the showrunner of the web series ‘All Downhill from Here’.
