Brennan was one of four finalists along with Tom Allen of Indiana, Matt Campbell of Iowa State, and Jamey Chadwell of Coastal Carolina. This award is named in memory of Vince Lombardi, a Pro Football Hall of Famer who won two Super Bowls as Green Bay Packers head coach.
