Brandon Mckinney

Safety transfer Brandon McKinney may not have spent his entire career with the Utes, but he’s quickly made good use of his limited time both on and off the field. In his final season of collegiate eligibility, McKinney has proven to be a team first guy and is determined to take his new teammates with him to new heights.

Despite an underwhelming record to begin his first season at Utah, Washington-transfer Brandon McKinney has been a solid and reliable performer amongst the secondary. Starting at strong safety, McKinney has provided some much needed veteran leadership and experience in a fairly young position group. Now, as the Utes enter conference play, McKinney is pleased with the secondary’s performance thus far and is confident in their abilities moving forward.
