But the most recent position filled on the Texas staff was a promotion from within. Former Alabama Crimson Tide offensive coordinator and reigning Broyles Award winner Sark is putting a lot of focus on his hire for the next director of recruiting.

Texas is investing in the future of Brandon Harris. The former highly-regarded recruit worked on the Texas staff in the capacity of assistant running backs coach, but now he will be taking on even more responsibility. Harris is officially being elevated to Director of Recruiting following the departure of Bryan Carrington who was formerly in the role.

Texas is set to hire offensive analyst and assistant running backs coach Brandon Harris to take over for Bryan Carrington as the Longhorns' Director of Recruiting. A source close to the situation told Horns247 recruiting analyst Mike Roach Wednesday that Harris has accepted the job offer and will take over as the head of the recruiting department for the Longhorns while also maintaining an analyst role for Texas.
