Bobby Carter retires as Mooresville boys basketball coach after 33 years with program

After 18 years as the head coach and 33 total seasons with the program, Bobby Carter announced his retirement on Tuesday as the Mooresville boys basketball coach. Carter leaves as Mooresville’s all-time winningest coach with a record of 214-188. He led the Pioneers to five Mid-State Conference championships and had the program in the sectional championship game four times. Carter was named Mid-State coach of the year five times.
