NY Mets: Bob Apodaca, one of the great injury casualties

UnforMETable, Episode 56: Bob Apodaca

Welcome to UnforMETable, an Amazin’ Avenue Audio show that looks back on less heralded, more obscure Mets players from the past. An undrafted free agent out of college, Bob Apodaca moved quickly through the Mets minor league system as a promising looking reliever. After a very brief and unfortunate cameo during the Mets’ unlikely run to the 1973 National League pennant, Apodaca established himself as a solid reliever in 1974—so promising, the Mets were willing to part with Tug McGraw that offseason.
