Music director Christopher Warren-Green took to the podium for the final time Sunday as the orchestra’s leader. But he’ll stick around until a replacement is found.

BAY VIEW — One of the world’s most beloved works of classical music will be performed at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, at historic John M. Hall Auditorium in Bay View when the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra and Chorus present Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 9”.

The Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra will be there, as will the symphony chorus and four world-class soloists. But all eyes will be on Timothy Muffitt conducting his final concert as the symphony's maestro. And what better way to finish his 23-year career in the Capital City than with Beethoven's "Ode to Joy?"

The Young Artists Debut Orchestra will present the music of BEETHOVEN, and BURLEIGH! at First Alliance Church on Zimmerly Road, on Friday, May 20th at 7:30 PM! The performance will feature Beethoven's 7th Symphony and 3 orchestrated Spirituals by Erie composer Harry T. Burleigh, sung by International Soprano Olanna Goudeau. No tickets are necessary for this performance, which is open to the public. No masks are required.

Chamber orchestra, chorus, soloists to perform Symphony No. 9 in D Minor, Opus 125. – Symphony of the Vines, under the baton of Maestro Greg Magie, will perform its third and final concert celebration of the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven’s birth on Friday, May 27 at 6 p.m. at Mission San Miguel.

Bozeman’s own symphonic orchestra and choir performs Ludwig van Beethoven’s final composition with the grand finale showcase in its 2021-22 season. Bozeman Symphony will present “Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony” later this month. Performances will be held May 21st and 22nd at the Willson Auditorium in Downtown Bozeman. Ludwig van Beethoven: the EDM edition. The young pianist and YouTube sensation Lionel Yu is known for his EDM, or Electronic Dance Music, remixes of Beethoven’s music. And in March 2022, he broke new ground at Washington D.C.’s Kennedy Center when he performed a dubstep remix of Beethoven’s 1801 piano masterpiece, the ‘Moonlight’ Sonata, to a live concert audience.

In honor of Ludwig van Beethoven’s 250th birthday, the Denver Philharmonic Orchestra is hosting its Beethoven Celebration on May 25 and 26 as its season finale.
