Austin Peay surpasses goal for ‘What If’ comprehensive campaign ahead of schedule

Austin Peay State University recently surpassed the $65 million fundraising goal for the “What If” comprehensive campaign months before its scheduled end date. The campaign began in 2015 and was initially projected to conclude in 2025. Following the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the end date was moved up to Dec. 31. The campaign was publicly launched Nov. 19. After securing $11.4 million during the 2020 fiscal year, raising more than $450,000 during Govs Give 2021 and receiving many other significant gifts and pledges, Austin Peay officially surpassed the campaign goal amount in April.

Austin Peay women’s basketball adds three transfers

Austin Peay’s women’s program announced the addition of three transfers today. Two are graduate transfers- Nique Cherry and Karle Pace as well as transfer Yamia Johnson. Cherry comes to Clarksville after two seasons at Clemson. Pace-a Clarksville native-was a 2019-20 First Team All-OVC selection and joins the Govs after spending the past four seasons at Eastern Illinois. Austin Peay military alumni chapter endows Joyce Luster scholarship endowment for Special Forces students

The Austin Peay State University military alumni chapter recently endowed the Joyce Luster scholarship endowment, which was initially created in 2018. Qualified applicants will include any active duty or honorably discharged Special Forces support soldier, spouse or dependent of a Special Forces support soldier. Recipients must be enrolled as full-time students at Austin Peay and meet all university admission requirements. Current students must be in good standing and have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.0. Applicants must reapply for the scholarship each year.
