Ahsoka Voice Actress Ashley Eckstein Speaks Out on Live-Action Disney+ Series

Ashley Eckstein, the voice actress for Ahsoka Tano, is expressing her excitement at the character starring in her own live-action series on Disney+. Production on the Ahsoka Disney+ series kicked off on May 9th, as Rosario Dawson reprises her live-action role from appearances on The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. However, it was Eckstein that helped introduce Star Wars fans to the Ahsoka Tano, the young Padawan to Luke Skywalker in 2008's Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated movie that helped set up Star Wars: Clone Wars. Now, Eckstein is looking back at Ahsoka's journey from animated Jedi to live-action leading lady.

Ashley Eckstein on Her New Star Wars Mindful Matters Project, Potentially Appearing in a Live-Action Series, the Return of Star Wars Celebration

Ashley Eckstein is best known to Star Wars fans as the original voice behind the iconic Jedi hero, Ahsoka Tano. However, she is an exceptional talent who wears many hats. She’s also the founder and creator of the Her Universe fashion line and lifestyle brand. Also, she’s recently branched into the realm of writing as the author of her own autobiography/advice book, It’s Your Universe: You Have the Power to Make It Happen. She also recently wrote a Star Wars Little Golden Book titled I Am a Padawan, which is now available.

Star Wars Mindful Matters Launches With Ahsoka Actress Ashley Eckstein

As part of today's Star Wars Day celebration, Lucasfilm has launched "Star Wars Mindful Matters," a series of Star Wars Kids shorts written by and starring Ashley Eckstein, known as the voice of Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. Created by Eckstein and Lucasfilm in collaboration with Citrone 33, Star Wars Mindful Matters looks to teach mindfulness to young viewers by focusing on the lessons their favorite Star Wars characters and stories teach. Each short video sees Eckstein leading a mindfulness exercise inspired by Star Wars. According to Lucasfilm, each episode is clinically based on resources provided by the On Our Sleeves movement for children's mental health, backed by behavioral health experts at Nationwide Children's Hospital.

Ashley Eckstein, the voice of Ahsoka Tano for almost 15 years, hopes to play a part in the character's upcoming live-action Disney+. Today is Star Wars Day, and part of that celebration is Star Wars launching the new "Star Wars Mindful Matters series," co-created, written, and hosted by Eckstein. spoke to Eckstein about the new mindfulness-focused project and took the opportunity to ask Eckstein if she was in any way involved with the Ahsoka series, even if only to consult with Rosario Dawson, who debuted as live-action Ahsoka in The Mandalorian and appeared again in The Book of Boba Fett. Eckstein says she hasn't had any involvement yet, but hopes to in the future, perhaps with a cameo appearance.

Lanter primarily voiced Anakin for the entirety of Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ run, and among his costars on that series was Ashley Eckstein, who voiced Anakin’s apprentice, Ahsoka Tano. She has now shared her support for the actor after he was hospitalized for emergency surgery.
