Antoine Bethea announced his retirement on Thursday. Bethea spent 2019 with the New York Giants and ends his 14-year NFL career after not playing this season. Bethea started all 16 games in his final season and racked up 110 tackles, one interception and two fumble recoveries. In his career, he made three Pro Bowls and won a Super Bowl in 2006 with the Indianapolis Colts.

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Antoine Bethea, a 14-year NFL veteran and Newport News native, has officially retired from the National Football League. Bethea was drafted by the Colts in the sixth round of the 2006 NFL Draft and went on to play for Indianapolis for eight seasons, the San Francisco 49ers for three seasons, the Arizona Cardinals for two seasons and the New York Giants during the 2019 season.
