XFL St. Louis Head Coach Anthony Becht Ready for Return to The Dome

First-time head coach Anthony Becht takes control of the XFL’s St. Louis team for the 2023 season and is already embracing the role. Becht has proven to have a successful professional football career when it all began as a first-round pick in the 2000 NFL Draft with the New York Jets. He would play five seasons with the Jets before spending three more seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His last three seasons in the NFL was with the St. Louis Rams, Arizona Cardinals, and the Kansas City Chiefs. He finished with 188 receptions for 1,537 yards and 21 touchdowns in eleven seasons in the NFL.

17th annual Anthony Becht football camp starts June 6

WESLEY CHAPEL — Former NFL’er and current XFL head coach Anthony Becht is hosting his 17th annual youth football camp and it will take place at Wiregrass Ranch High School from June 6-8. Becht was also formerly the offensive coordinator for Wiregrass Ranch High School under head coach Mark Kantor. Becht, who played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Jets, is holding the 11th youth camp he has had in the state of Florida and 17th overall.

He made some of his best throws of his career and showed poise in the pocket and threw the ball away when he needed to. Wilson did it all against the defending champion Buccaneers and without many of his best offensive weapons and a few starting offensive linemen. This is a game to build on for next week in Buffalo to close the season and into next season for the Jets franchise quarterback.

It’s Monday night and the Jets still have not scored a touchdown since Week 1. Three games in and it seems Zach Wilson and the Jets offense are getting worse as the weeks go on. After throwing two touchdowns and keeping things close in his NFL debut against the Panthers, Wilson threw four interceptions in the Jets’ 25-6 loss to the Patriots in Week 2. He followed that up with a big donut on the scoreboard Sunday in a 26-0 debacle in Denver. The Jets are 0-3 and there’s hardly a single positive you can say about this team right now.
