Anna Netrebko, Ferruccio Furlanetto Headline New Performances at Mariinsky Theatre’s ‘Stars of the White Nights’ Festival

The Mariinsky Theatre has announced several new productions to its “Stars of the White Nights” International Music Festival. First up, the company will present Verdi’s “Macbeth” in a production starring soprano Anna Netrebko. The rest of the cast will be announced at a later date. Valery Gergiev will conduct the production, which is slated for June 19, 2021.

Anna Netrebko Leads Greek National Opera’s All Star Verdi Gala

(Credit: Julian Hargreaves) The Greek National Opera is set to present All Star Verdi Gala led by Anna Netrebko on July 10, 2021. The gala will showcase Netrebko in her Greece debut at the Panathenaic Stadium, the biggest and safest open-air space in Athens. She will perform alongside mezzo-soprano Anita Rachvelishvili, which whom Netrebko has performed at the Metropolitan Opera, tenor Yusif Eyvazov, Netrebko’s husband and frequent on stage partner, and Greek baritone Dimitri Platanias.
