Ann Marie (Francesco) Evans passed peacefully in her home after a lengthy illness on Thursday, January 26 with family by her side. Ann was born in Little Falls, New York on March 1, 1935. Her parents were Ferdinand (Fred) and Rose (Lamanna) Francesco. Ann Marie (Sarra) Hebert, 72, of Fort Myers, FL gained her angel wings on November 16, 2021 after a 10 year battle with breast cancer. Ann Marie was born on September 1, 1949 in New Britain, CT to loving parents, Alfred "Fred" and Rose Sarra. She graduated from New Britain High School in 1967. In November of 1969 Ann Marie married Donald Hebert. Ann Marie and Donald went on to have two children, Tina Marie and Robert. Throughout the years the couple would live in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York and Pennsylvania. In 2007 the couple retired to Fort Myers, Florida where Ann Marie spent her time golfing, sewing and traveling. She enjoyed making gifts for others, arts and crafts, and singing and dancing to the oldies. Most importantly Ann Marie was a terrific grandmother. Her grandchildren were her life. There was never a day that went by she didn't brag about all ten of her beautiful grand babies. Ann Marie was predeceased by her brother Johnny Sarra and his wife Lorna. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Donald Hebert; her children Tina Marie Luftig and her husband, Wesley, of Dunwoody, GA; and Robert Hebert and his wife, Patricia, of Methuen, MA. She leaves behind the pride and joy of her life, her grandchildren: Cassandra Hebert and wife Julieth, Nathan Hebert, Ryan Hebert, Evan Hebert, Samantha Luftig, Kara Luftig, Tyler Luftig, Noah Luftig, Emily Siviski and Lucy Siviski. She also leaves many other family members and dear friends. A wake will be held at The Bailey Funeral Home of Plainville on Friday, November 26, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Ann was born on Jan. 17, 1925, the daughter of Thomas and Beatrice LaVecchia in Jersey City, New Jersey. Ann, or more affectionately known as “Nina,” is survived by her two loving daughters and their families, including: daughter Patricia (Harold) Bushway, of North Walpole, New Hampshire, granddaughter Kerry (Brian) Pickering, of Drewsville, New Hampshire, great-granddaughter Allegra (Nate) Bisson and great-great-grandson Keenan, of Walpole, New Hampshire, and great-granddaughter Shea, of Drewsville, New Hampshire, grandson Mark (Tammy) Bushway, of Estero, Florida, and great-grandchildren, Kylee Bushway, of Arlington, Virginia, and Chloe Bushway, of Estero, Florida; daughter Joanne (Ray) Perry, of Bellows Falls, Vermont, granddaughters, Nicole (Brett) Clace and great-grandchildren, Griffin and Graeme, of Colchester, Vermont, and Courtney (Cole) Thomas and great-grandchildren, Louisa Lark, Peter Leif and Mathilda Rose, of Essex, Vermont. In addition, Ann is survived by her sisters, Lena Harris, of Newburgh, New York, and Marion Williams, of Monticello, New York; and brother-in-law Ronald (Dorothy) Lemp, of Succasunna, New Jersey; as well as several nieces and nephews. On Nov. 24, 1957, Ann married her loving husband, Edwin Lemp, who predeceased her on Oct. 17, 2016. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Rose Perrone, Catherine "Kay" Gerson, Louis "Louie" LaVecchia, Antonette "Nettie" Brown, Frances Patton, Bernardo "Ben" LaVecchia and Margaret Smith. Additionally, her first husband, Bernard Sullivan, of Jersey City, New Jersey. Ann "Nina" was a faithful and devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and friend whose life centered around her family. Ann was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her. We are grateful for the compassionate care and friendship provided to her by Bonnie Reagan, Jamie Harper and Barb Kolodzieg.
