Ladd is now playing for Bridgeport of the AHL, Michael Fornabaio of the Connecticut Post reports. The Islanders had kept Ladd on the taxi squad for the first two months of the season, but he had yet to see any game action. Bridgeport is where he is most likely to spend the rest of this season unless the Isles can pull a rabbit out of their hat and trade him.

Ladd has been sent to Bridgeport of the AHL, Arthur Staple of The Athletic reports. This move was expected, as sending Ladd to the AHL gives the Islanders some much-needed room under the salary cap. That space was used to sign players like Matthew Barzal and Matt Martin. Ladd has little to no chance of playing for the Islanders this season.
