Enchanted fans rejoice! Disney has released a first look at the upcoming sequel, Disenchanted, set to premiere on Thanksgiving. In the still from the film tweeted Tuesday night by Walt Disney Studios, star Amy Adams is seen reprising her role as Giselle with costar Maya Rudolph, who is said to be playing the villain.
May 18 (UPI) -- Disney is giving a glimpse of the new film Disenchanted. The studio shared a photo for the Enchanted sequel Tuesday featuring Amy Adams and Maya Rudolph. Enchanted opened in theaters in 2007. The film follows Giselle (Adams), a young woman from the animated fairy tale kingdom of Andalasia who is magically transformed into a live-action version of herself and transported to New York.

Disney has released the first image from “Disenchanted,” the long-awaited sequel to “Enchanted,” and announced it will stream on Disney+ this Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving day is November 24 this year, but Disney did not specify if the film would begin streaming on that exact day or just around Thanksgiving.

Maya, who plays a new face in the franchise by the name of Malvina Monroe, is wearing a black gown with gold details. She tops the look off with a matching cape, red crystal necklace and crown.
