Ally Venable has a Heart of Fire

Guitar Girl Magazine Issue 15 – Spring 2021 – Electrified!. Some musicians gradually ease into their sound, while others kick down the door at a young age in a fiery blaze–Ally Venable is very much the latter. She released her debut EP, Wise Man, at just fourteen years old and quickly climbed the Texas blues scene ranks, which is no small achievement at any age. Now in her early twenties, with multiple ETX Music Awards under her belt, she is already a force to be reckoned with and just getting started. Much as her 2019 single “Texas Honey” implies, Venable’s sound is dripping with tasteful vocal melodies and juicy guitar riffs.

GW Premiere: Ally Venable plays "Hateful Blues"

A powerhouse from the Lone Star State, Ally Venable has ignited excitement in the modern blues scene. The 22-year-old lead vocalist and guitarist started singing at an early age in church. Then, much to her parent's chagrin, she picked up the guitar and quickly found her passion. She soon established herself as a Texas blues guitar slinger. Guitar Player Magazine weighed in; "Venable pulls off a stunner of gritty and sultry blues-rock tunes embellished with lots of tasty guitar solos." Venable has received many awards, including the East Texas Music Award in 2014 and 2015 for "Female Guitarist of the Year, "three-time winner ETX Music Award winner of "Blues Band of the Year," and "Album of the Year."
