However, after Cejudo and Sterling did a face-to-face sit down on Daniel Cormier’s YouTube channel ‘Triple C’ claims ‘Funkmaster’ stopped bringing up his name for a reason.

Video: UFC champ Aljamain Sterling receives hero’s welcome in hometown parade

UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling received a hero’s welcome during a “homecoming rally” in Uniondale, N.Y., to celebrate his title win. Sterling, an alum of Uniondale High, rode atop a Nassau County fire marshal truck and waved to onlookers with a full brass band in support. Veteran MMA reporter Mark LaMonica captured the parade in a video, which can be seen above. Sterling also documented his ride through town on his Instagram account.

UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling was a prominent figure during a “homecoming rally” in his hometown of Uniondale, N.Y., on Monday. Sterling rode atop a Nassau County fire marshall’s truck and waved to those in attendance as part of a parade. The video was captured by Newsday MMA reporter Mark LaMonica. May 23 was declared “Aljamain Sterling Day” by Nassau County.
