Panthers' Alexander Wennberg: Finds fit in Florida

Wennberg delivered a hat trick Saturday in a 5-1 win over the Lightning. It was just his second career hattie, both of which came this season. Wennberg has found a home in Florida -- he has scored a career-high 16 snipes this season, one more than he had in three seasons combined with the Blue Jackets. Wennberg may never capture the same glory he did in 2016-17 when he potted 59 points, but he's a solid third-line pivot.

Panthers' Alexander Wennberg: Logs helper Tuesday

Wennberg produced an assist and three shots on goal in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Predators. Wennberg set up the game-winning goal by Frank Vatrano at 7:15 of the third period. The 26-year-old Wennberg has surpassed his point production from last year. He's at 23 points, 72 shots on net and an even plus-minus rating in 51 appearances this season.

Panthers' Alexander Wennberg: Picks up helper

Wennberg tallied his sixth assist of the season in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Blue Jackets. Over the past nine games Wennberg has collected only two points -- both helpers -- in 17:12 of average ice time. The 26-year-old center hasn't been the offensive spark the Panthers hoped he would be on the second line, but with a lack of other options at the team's disposal, he will likely remain in his role. Wennberg has 11 points in 25 games this season.
