After both Matthew Boyd and Alex Lange left Monday’s game against the Kansas City Royals early due to injury, the Detroit Tigers placed both pitchers on the 10-day injured list. The moves were part of the longest list of transactions we’ve seen from the Tigers in a while, as the club looks to simply field a healthy pitching staff for the remainder of their series in Kansas City.

Alex Lange did not have to wait long to make his MLB debut. The former LSU All-American’s time came on Saturday during Detroit’s 11-3 loss to Cleveland. Lange threw 16 pitches, facing the minimum during the fifth inning, capping it off with his first and only strikeout. Though the score was 6-0 when he walked back to the dugout, his team gave Lange the welcoming he deserved.
