Over the past year, we’ve grown accustomed to dressing up to sit in front of our computers. The front row has turned virtual, but that doesn’t mean you can’t look the part from the comfort of your own home. One Night in Miami actor Aldis Hodge slipped into a snazzy look to watch Ermenegildo Zegna’s new spring 2022 menswear film on Friday—just him, good clothes, and his laptop. Lucky for us, Hodge documented the whole affair for Vogue.

Dwayne Johnson’s Response To Zachary Levi Photo With Black Adam Star Aldis Hodge Is A+

While the future of the DC expanded universe is still a little a little cloudy, there's one particular corner of it that seems to be moving forward quite well. Following the success of Shazam! that film is getting a direct sequel as well as an apparent prequel in Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam. While we expect some of these characters to likely clash on screen at some point in the future, the two films are already doing battle on the driving range. And The Rock wants to be sure that team Black Adam represents.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods Star Zachary Levi and Black Adam Star Aldis Hodge Pose for New Photo

Shazam! Fury of the Gods and Black Adam are both currently in production in Atlanta, and while there has been no official word on any crossovers, many DC fans are expecting the movies to connect considering Black Adam (Dwayne Johnson) is Shazam's (Zachary Levi) biggest foe. Recently, Black Adam's Alis Hodge, who is playing Hawkman, took to Instagram to share a photo with Levi. In the caption, he joked that they're going to have their own "Shazam VS. Hawkman" movie. The post may be a joke, but seeing the two actors together certainly has us hopeful for possible cameos and connections in each of their respective films.

Aldis Hodge On Racism And Corruption In ’90s-Era ‘City On A Hill’: “What We’re Talking About Here And Now, Is Still Happening Today”

Aldis Hodge is on a roll. Following the Oscar-nominated One Night in Miami, there’s the upcoming superhero film Black Adam, a revival of TNT’s television series Leverage, and much more. Plus, he’s killing it as Assistant District Attorney DeCourcy Ward in Showtime’s City on a Hill. Exec produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, the police procedural follows Ward’s attempts to clean up police corruption in ‘90s Boston, exemplified by Kevin Bacon’s thoroughly bent cop Jackie Rohr.

Black Adam Starts Filming And The Rock And Hawkman Actor Aldis Hodge Sound Pumped

It has been a long time coming, but filming on Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s DC comic book movie Black Adam has finally started! It’s pretty much a given that the actors involved are excited about the progress the film has made after so much time has passed since it was announced, and he knew the ball was rolling on the project as he began seriously preparing for the film at the beginning of last year. Johnson isn’t the only cast member pumped for filming to start though - his co-star Aldis Hodge, who plays Hawkman, is also pretty happy about getting to work.

Black Adam: Hawkman Actor Aldis Hodge Reveals New Photo of First Day Filming

Production on the Black Adam movie is officially underway, and fans are incredibly excited to see what it brings to the ever-evolving DC Films universe. Not only will the film properly introduce Dwayne Johnson's long-awaited take on the character, but it will bring members of the Justice Society of America to the big screen, including Carter Hall/Hawkman. While we have yet to see Hodge and his fellow JSA-ers in costume or in action, the actor recently took to Instagram to tease that his work on the film has officially begun. The photo, which you can check out below, shows Hodge's trailer on the film's set, with a caption revealing that it's his first day of filming on set.

Aldis Hodge is Not Messing around in Training for Black Adam

Aldis Hodge isn’t playing around when it comes to taking on the role of Hawkman, aka Carter Hall. As one of the several talented individuals that’s been tapped for the movie Black Adam, Hodge has been working out steadily and bulking up in order to play the muscular, winged hero that has been a part of the DC stable for decades and is one of those that has had run-ins with Black Adam over the years. An incarnation of Prince Khufu in the comics, Carter has been a common sight in DC for so long that leaving him out up until now feels like it was a major oversight, but it will be interesting to see what kind of overhaul will be given to his outfit since like the rest of the DC heroes, apart from Wonder Woman, it’s a little more practical to see an individual covered with armor than to leave that much skin exposed. It does feel like a double standard with Wonder Woman since her arms and legs are mostly bare, as is her chest, but perhaps thanks to her godly speed she’s been left as is while the costumes of the others have been changed in various ways. But if anyone remembers, Hawkman didn’t wear much up top and looked almost like he was ready to step into a gladiatorial arena to do battle with his spiked mace in hand.
