Report: Alando Tucker not expected to return to Wisconsin's staff in 2021-22

MADISON, Wis. -- Wisconsin interim assistant coach Alando Tucker will not be back with the program next season, according to a report by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Tucker, UW's all-time leading scorer, has been on staff under head coach Greg Gard for each of the last two season on an interim basis. Prior to joining Gard's staff, Tucker was hired by UW as the director of student-athlete engagement in February of 2018. When former assistant coach Howard Moore suffered severe injuries and lost his wife and daughter in a tragic car accident in May of 2019, Tucker stepped in.

On Tuesday morning, Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel tweeted out that he had a source telling him that Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball assistant coach Alando Tucker would not be returning next season. Tucker has been an interim assistant for UW for the past two season with Howard Moore on leave after being severely injured in a car crash which took the life of his wife and daughter.
