OSAGE COUNTY, Mo. — A Bland man was injured after falling asleep behind the wheel in Osage County Monday afternoon. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Zackery J. Stasiak, 26, was driving on Missouri Route 89, just south of Roberts Trail, when he fell asleep. His Chevrolet Cruze traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a tree and overturned. The accident happened around 4 p.m. Monday. He was transported to SSM Health in Jefferson City with moderate injuries.

Two people suffer serious injuries after being thrown from their motorcycle in a crash in Osage County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Clayton Bunch, 24, of Linn, tried to pass a vehicle on Highway 100, west of Two Socks Trail, yesterday afternoon. Troopers say a tire on Bunch’s bike blew, and he ran off the side of the road, then ran back on the road before overturning. Both Bunch and his passenger, Candice Alexander, 19, of Owensville, were thrown off the bike.
