Whatever happened to white zinfandel? I like sweeter wines, and I see rosé love everywhere but never white zin. Is it not cool anymore?. Poor white zin. Seems like it’s worse off than post-“Sideways” merlot. It was a gateway wine for lots of folks around my age and is itself a rosé, albeit a sweeter or “off-dry” variety that back in the ’70s and ’80s was often called “blush.” Like bell-bottoms and shoulder pads, back then, white zin was most definitely in fashion.

East End Market is converting its APEX event venue the second floor of its Audubon Park food hub into a new chef’s table/retail space.
