15-Year Old Boy Pulled From Burning Home

A 15-year old boy was pulled for a burning home last night in Shortsville. Ontario County Sheriffs Deputies and firefighters were called to 19-Palmyra Street in Shortsville. When they arrived, flames were shooting through the roof of the home. Sheriff’s Deputies entered the home on the first floor, but were met with heavy smoke and could not get to the second floor of the home. Deputies and firefighters then gained access to a porch roof where they made it into the second floor to rescue the boy. He was airlifted by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial.

A Farmington man faces animal cruelty charges after he allegedly struck his 3-year-old American Bulldog with his fist in the left shoulder and head.
