The man who hired Carlos Beltran and Cameron Maybin to be rookie YES game analysts during this baseball season wants them back for next year. “Yes, I do,” John Filippelli, YES’s president of programming and production, told The Post. Beltran and Maybin have been learning their craft on the most watched regional sports network in the country. Filippelli said that YES has top-level talent on games, citing Michael Kay, David Cone, Paul O’Neill and John Flaherty, which makes it hard to compare Beltran and Maybin in their first years. “I think both of them have very high ceilings,” Filippelli said. “We are working with them to refine them, to give them the feedback, instruction and direction that they need. “I think you have to be patient with the learning curve. This is not instant coffee, where you take your water and put something in and you say, ‘Hey, we’ve got instant coffee, it’s great.’ No this business is not like that — it takes time.”
