Following a nationwide search for the Director of Economy, City of Olathe leadership selected Jamie Shockley Robichaud. Currently serving as the Deputy City Administrator for the City of Prairie Village, Robichaud has extensive experience in community and economic development, building codes and finance. Previously, Robichaud was the Assistant City Manager/Interim City Manager for Tonganoxie.

Solid Waste Heroes Help Injured Man

Emergency preparedness and selfless action ensured a resident got the medical attention he needed. City of Olathe Solid Waste staff members Kelly Brummett and Brian Ottenschnieder were on a route collecting bulk waste when they noticed an elderly man kneeling down and checking his bags of groceries. The City of Olathe has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA). The report was judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.

Download the template, print the page, work your magic, and submit it online by 5 p.m. on June 10 for a chance for it to be put on a City trash truck. Olathe Live is back for another year at Stagecoach Park (1205 E Kansas City Rd.).
